7.24.26 Update – It was pointed out that we did not use the adjusted HUD numbers for higher cost of living here, which moves the 120% slightly higher but affect the same workforce. 120% AMI is $136,920. For example starting teacher at $60,000 and a starting firefighter or paramedic at $76,784. Add them together and you get $136,784. Additionally, this was a general column, each local government entity will have a different affordable housing situation. The concept of how this affects families is the same.
